How To Order

  1. Online order:
    The easiest way to order is to use the AddToCart buttons found with the product descriptions. Once your cart is full, click on the Checkout button and follow the instructions. The Cart requires cookies. If you do not have cookies enabled on your browser, then you can use one of the following methods.

    Online orders will receive automatic confirmation via email. We will also use email whenever possible to communicate regarding ship dates and availability.

  2. Mail an order to us:
    Print a copy of the printable order form, fill it out completely, and mail it with payment.
  3. Phone us with your order:
    Fill out the printable order form completely, call us at (607) 564-9055 and read the order to us or our answering machine. If you do talk to our machine, please speak slowly and clearly and leave a phone number where you can be reached in case we have a question about your order.

Payment Methods

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards as well as money orders and personal checks. There is no minimum order.

Plant Prices and Sizes

Annuals in 6 packs & Perennials in 4 packs - $7.25 per pack
Fancy Annuals, Herbs, & Single Perennials - $4.95 each
Flowering Vines - $6.25 each

Customer Information

We never share or sell customer information with anyone, ever. We will, however, keep your mailing address for future catalog mailings. If you prefer not to be included in these mailings, please let us know.

Shipping Information

We ship anywhere in the continental United States- except Alaska or Hawaii - using UPS or USPS. Be sure to inclulde a street address as UPS cannot deliver t o a P.O. Box. Plants will be sent out only on Mondays and Tuesdays to avoid long weekend stopovers in cold (or hot?) warehouses. Figure your charges according to the following chart:

Shipping Dates

We will begin shipping plants in late April weather permitting. We will continue shipping through June 1st. After June 1, we will ship to addresses east of the Mississippi River and north of Tennessee. Orders are shipped in the order we receive them. If there are dates you will be unable to receive your plants please let us know. April and May in upstate NY can be a weatherman's nightmare (if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes!) so shipping dates will not be written in stone.

Early Ordering

Just a note on our operations. We are a small, family owned and operated business growing relatively small quantities of each variety of plant. Please order early to avoid disappointment as many items tend to sell out. We will post SOLD OUT signs in our online catalog as this happens so please check there if you can before finalizing your plans.

Substitutions

We will NOT substitute without your permission. However, if we are allowed, we will put our considerable horticultural knowledge to work in choosing substitutions for you and our choices might be very interesting. Whatever you decide is fine, but fill in the order blank where it asks you this.

When Your Plants Arrive

Unpack your plants immediately. Water them. Go ahead and plant them if weather in your area permits however -- make sure all plants that are sensitive to freezing temperatures are well protected. Remember to plant in well prepared and amended ground!! If you must hold plants for any length of time you must place pots in a bright, protected environment and water them regularly (pots tend to dry out within a day so it is ok to water every day).

Our Guarantee

On our responsibilities...
Our business depends on you. Therefore our main goal is to deliver to your door a healthy, vigorous plant that is ready to grow and thrive. Our plants will be hand-picked by us and carefully packed to insure their safe arrival. If there is a problem with your order we will make it right. Usually if plants are damaged during shipping this will be obvious immediately or very soon after their arrival. Please let us know within 7 days (ASAP) and we will replace your plants OR refund your money (your choice).

On your responsibilities...
Your job is to:

  1. Choose plants appropriate for the intended growing situation.
  2. Be available upon arrival of your plants and check their condition.
  3. PREPARE SOIL (we think this is the most important factor for plants to really grow and thrive in the long run).
  4. Plant your plants soon after their arrival.
  5. Provide proper care to insure their survival throughout the growing season. Obviously we could write chapters on most of these points. Please be advised that we will ship any plant anywhere but we cannot assume responsibility for its life once it rests in your capable hands. We will provide basic cultural information and there are many excellent reference books to help with plant selection and care. We will also do our best to answer questions via email at info@magicgardenplants.com.
