The Gathering of Gardeners Symposium is an annual Cornell Cooperative Extension event hosted by the Master Gardeners of Monroe County, New York. There will be a rich mixture of educational activities, as well as a hand-picked selection of specialty nurseries selling plants. We will be one of them!

Michael Shadrack — “has been a member of The American Hosta Society since 1986 and is currently president of the Western New York Hosta Society. Mike has been growing hostas since 1986 and has been trying to hybridize almost as long. He and his wife, Kathy, maintain a large collection of modern cultivars at their Smug Creek Gardens.”

Eric Hsu — “became plant information coordinator at Chanticleer Garden in 2011, and before that worked with some of the most prestigious woody-plant collections in the Eastern United States. Eric is a frequent contributor to "The Plantsman," the respected quarterly published by the Royal Horticultural Society in the United Kingdom.”
